Privacy policy

Your workout records stay on your device. HYCOW does not require an account or upload workout data to developer-operated servers.

Scope

This policy applies to the HYCOW iOS app, provided and maintained by the HYCOW developer. It explains how information is used, stored and deleted in the app, and how we handle information you choose to send when contacting us.

Information stored on your device

The app stores your nickname, language, difficulty, music preference, focused workout settings, workout progress, completion dates, times, splits, badges and free full-workout usage count locally. This information enables workout recovery, history and results, share posters and the free allowance.

This data is not uploaded to developer-operated servers. We do not provide HYCOW accounts or our own cloud sync. The workout data directory is excluded from system backups. Do not rely on iCloud or computer backups to restore workout records.

Purchases and restoration

Apple's App Store handles the lifetime purchase. The app obtains and verifies product and transaction information through StoreKit, including product and transaction identifiers, purchase dates and revocation status, to confirm and restore access. We do not receive bank card details, Apple Account passwords or verification codes.

Purchasing and restoring purchases may connect to Apple's services. Apple's privacy policy applies to its handling of this information.

Sharing you choose

Posters are generated on your device. A poster is handed to a destination only when you open the system share sheet and choose where to save it, a recipient or another app. Posters may include your nickname, workout results and date, so review them before sharing. The recipient's own policies govern any further use.

Permissions, advertising and analytics

The current version has no advertising, cross-app tracking or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs. It does not read contacts, location, camera, microphone or HealthKit data. Exercise demonstrations and audio are included with the app. HYCOW does not use your camera or microphone to recognize exercises. System sharing and apps you select may request their own permissions.

Retention, deletion and your controls

You can edit your nickname and settings in Profile, delete individual records from their details, or use Profile → Clear all data to remove local workout records, badges, nickname, settings and active workouts.

The full-workout usage count is retained to prevent clearing records from repeatedly renewing the free allowance. Clearing data does not revoke the lifetime entitlement managed by Apple. To remove all app-local data, choose Delete App in iOS Settings, rather than Offload App. Existing system backups, shared posters and Apple's transaction records are not automatically deleted; manage them with the respective service.

The developer does not hold a copy of your workout data and cannot view or recover lost records for you.

Information sent to support

If you email us, we receive your email address, description and any screenshots or other content you choose to attach. We use this information only to reply, investigate issues and handle privacy requests, not for advertising or marketing. Include only information needed to resolve the issue and hide unrelated personal content.

Email providers may process support messages. We retain support information only as needed to handle the request and delete it once it is no longer needed, except where retention is legally required. You can use the email below to request access to, correction of or deletion of support information you have provided.

Webpages and external services

Our public privacy and support pages do not add advertising or behavioral analytics and do not require sign-in. When you visit a webpage or external link, the hosting provider or destination service may process connection logs, such as IP addresses, to serve pages and protect security. This is separate from the workout data stored locally in the app.

Policy updates

We will update this policy and its date when features or information practices change. Where a change requires your consent, we will explain it and request consent before you use the relevant feature.
